QuikSound.com was established in 2024 as a Pro Audio product line for HealthWare LLC, which was founded Jan 12, 2004 by Troy Jordan. Troy innovated in the electronic medical record space with HealthWare using the GoEMR.com website and a Java based emr called Oscar as well as a rendition of OpenEMR, which was used by clinics he supported with more than 60,000 patients. He paused HealthWare programming before he began working for Cerner Corporation in 2012, initially as a professional software development consultant.
At Cerner Troy programmed systems for healthcare to help manage hospitals, primarily developing contract management, and cost estimation solutions. He did significant work improving the ability to accurately estimate costs for U.S. Veterans receiving care through the VA.
He started at Cerner as a Senior Software Engineer and left as a Senior Engineering Manager. Oracle acquired Cerner in 2022 where Troy continued to work until 2024 when he left to launch QuikSound.com which was a completely different product line than he worked with at Oracle, using different technologies.

Troy used the proceeds from a severance package to resurrect his company in an area that honored the non-compete while filling a need he saw in the pro audio industry. Before his medical programming days, Troy studied music performance and audio engineering for four years at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music. Additionally he performed and ministered as a musician on weekends for 15+ years. His knowledge about the needs of performing musicians and about audio engineering gave him insights about how to better solve problems when it came to personal monitoring for musicians, especially for live performances.
He is married to Dr. Staci Jordan and has two adult daughters.
